I stopped walking and planted both feet on the ground, assuming a steady stance. I tilted my head up and faced the sky straight-on. The night was a deep shade of gray, the wind was shaking everything. There was a low roaring as it smashed against the trees and houses, and fences dividing them. Everything was trembling in it's base, and yet I didn't seem afraid at all. I took it all in, absorbing it like a diverse energy I thrived on. I held a hard stare at the trees looming over everything in the neighboring yard. I drew my eyes slowly up them, and to the top. That tree, so magestic and powerful, could crush me and destroy my life in every sense of it. That giant could topple over and end me. I can imagine it. The tree slowly leaning, hearing the loud snap, and crack as the trunk broke. The tree would groan and fall towards me, a black figure against the monochrome night, and I would watch. I would not move, I could not move. I would take my demise, head on. Such a beautiful sight as a bittersweet goodbye.
